HOUSE WATCH REQUEST

As a service to the residents of Fayette County, the Sheriff’s Office offers a House Watch Program for those who will be away from home due to vacation or travel. If you plan to be away for two days or more, you may request that deputies conduct periodic security checks of your residence during your absence.
Please note that these checks are performed as time and resources allow. Due to manpower limitations and the unpredictable nature of calls for service, we cannot guarantee checks at specific times or a set number of visits. However, every effort will be made to include your home in routine patrols while you’re away.
To request a house watch, please fill out our House Watch Request form.

Golf Cart Ordinance

Fayette County — and Peachtree City in particular — is internationally recognized for its unique integration of motorized golf carts into its transportation network. Peachtree City utilized more than 90 miles of multi-use paths, offering residents and visitors an alternative and convenient way to travel throughout the city.

While unincorporated Fayette County does not yet have a cart path system as extensive as Peachtree City’s, significant efforts are underway to expand the network with the goal of eventually connecting paths across all municipalities. This mode of transportation plays an important role in the daily life of our community.

It is important for cart operators to know not only whether they are inside or outside Peachtree City limits but also to understand the specific regulations that apply in each area, as well as differences in the rules governing their use. Please review the Golf Cart Ordinances provided below.

Patch Request Policy

We will provide a shoulder patch only when the request is received on an official public safety letterhead, signed by an official of that agency. We no longer provide patches to collectors due to the fact that many times these items find their way onto online auction sites. Also, due to the high cost of international postage, we no longer send patches outside the United States of America.

You may send your request to the attention of Donna King, Administrative Assistant at:
Fayette County Sheriff’s Office
155 Johnson Avenue
Fayetteville, Georgia 30214

Requests received which do not meet the above criteria will be denied and discarded.
