Warrant Services Section

The Warrant Services Section of the Field Operations Division is responsible for serving criminal arrest warrants issued by the Fayette County Judicial System as well as criminal arrest warrants from other agencies throughout Fayette County, the State of Georgia, and the United States.  In addition to serving arrest warrants, the Warrant Services Section is also charged with performing extradition services for criminals who are wanted for crimes in Fayette County but located and arrested outside the State of Georgia.  The Warrant Services Section also provides Mental Health Evaluation transports when an individual residing in Fayette County is determined to require an involuntary examination by a Physician or the Fayette County Probate Court Judge.

The Warrant Services Section is commanded by Captain David Moorman.  Captain Moorman is a more than 24 year veteran of the Fayette County Sheriff's Office.  Captain Moorman enthusiastically supports Sheriff Hannah's personal goal of continual improvement in making the Fayette County Sheriff's Office responsive to our community's needs.
