Criminal Investigations Division

The Criminal Investigation Division is comprised of over thirty personnel assigned to different sections in the division. These sections are General Investigations, Crime Scene Unit, Internal Affairs, Tactical Narcotics Team and the Aviation Unit.

The Criminal Investigations Division is also responsible for the Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT) and the Crisis Negotiations Team.

The Director of the Criminal Investigations Division is Lieutenant Colonel Robert Glaze, a twenty-seven year veteran of the Fayette County Sheriff's Office.  He is committed to the mission of the Sheriff's Office and to actively pursuing all leads to solve crimes committed within Fayette County.
