General Information

The following information is provided to assist in your application of a parade or assembly permit, hereafter called a parade permit. This information comes from the ordinances enacted by the Fayette County Board of Commissioners, Article 111S, section 12-46 through 12-74. As provided by these ordinances, an application for a parade permit is through the Sheriff of Fayette County. A parade permit is required any time a parade is conducted in the unincorporated areas of Fayette County. Should the parade travel through the city limits of any city in the county or go into another county it may be required of that city or county to obtain a parade permit according to that jurisdiction’s ordinances.

  • There is no fee for the permit, but there may be a fee charged according to the number of Deputies required to assist with the parade.

  • Every question and sub-question must be fully and completely answered.
  • An incomplete application may cause a delay or rejection of the application.
  • If a particular question does not apply to you, then answer “NIA” and if necessary explain why it is not applicable to you.
  • If the space provided is not sufficient, answer the question on a separate sheet and indicate in the space provided on the application that such separate sheet is attached.
