Application For Raffle License
RAFFLE APPLICATION KEY
Section 22 – All raffle licenses expire at 12:00 midnight on December 31 following the granting of the license.
A maximum annual fee of $100.00 may be charged by the Sheriff’s Office for licenses. However, if the organization will only be holding a maximum of three raffles, then no fee may be charged.
(See question #2).
Under the following circumstances, a license CAN NOT be granted:

- The applicant is not a non-profit corporation.
- The applicant non-profit corporation has been incorporated for less than 24 months.
- The answer to question 9 is yes.
- The applicant does not attach a copy of the lease agreement (question #8).
- The applicant does not own the property where the raffle will be held, and the property is not the property of another non-profit corporation.
- The applicant does not attach letters of designation from the IRS and GEORGIA DEPT. OF REVENUE.
Question 3 and 4:
If raffles will be held by the applicant in counties other than Fayette County, and Fayette County is not where the applicant`s state headquarters is located, then notify the Sheriff`s designated Raffle Officer.
Question 5:
If the applicant will be conducting a raffle for patients of a retirement home, nursing home, or hospital, then notify the Sheriff`s designated Raffle Officer.

Any incomplete areas or unfurnished requested forms for this application will only delay or revoke the Raffle Certificate
